Sailing the fleet.
Founded and directed by: Juliana Ripani
Juliana Ripani (Buenos Aires) works between graphic design, the object and space. Her practice is defined by an approach that brings together identity, material exploration and poetic sensitivity.
She studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires.
In 2017 she founded FLOTA, from where she runs an identity studio, a line of objects and AL MAR, her studio-workshop in Poblenou. She lives and works in Barcelona.
In 2017 she founded a studio that builds the identity of each project from a conceptual and material perspective: visual identity, naming, art direction, editorial and packaging, mostly for food projects in Buenos Aires and Spain.
Beyond design, it also follows through on the application, working with suppliers and other trades that bring the ideas to life.
See FLOTA Creativa →Her affinity for materials gave rise to her experimental line: brick, sheet metal, clay, glass, paraffin and cement turned into functional objects. Her latest collection was shown at Design Market Barcelona.
FLOTA Objetos is the design work of Juliana Ripani, open to collaborations with other artists who work with a material.
She also works as a curator: together with Gian Padilla Suarez she created TABLE WEAR, an exhibition series that brings different artists and materials together around a table.
See FLOTA Objetos →In Poblenou she opened a studio-workshop in an old printing house to create, make projects and share with other artists. There she curates exhibitions, workshops and gatherings.
