From a place to a piece. Bring something meaningful: a landscape, a texture, a story or a special place.
From there you will create your own amulet of the territory: a pendant, a ring or a small object. We work with the lost-wax technique, modelling each piece in wax and then sending it to the foundry to turn it into metal. You can choose silver, bronze or brass.
Finished pieces are ready to collect 2 to 3 weeks after the workshop.

An informal meet-up to practise English through conversations about art, design and architecture.
A space to share ideas, references and experiences, exchange points of view and gain confidence with the language in a relaxed atmosphere.
It is not an English class, but an invitation to talk and connect with other people through shared interests. You don't need perfect English, just the wish to talk.

The ring as a unique object. An intensive one-day workshop of high-fire ceramic jewellery to explore the ring as a small sculptural piece: different shapes, geometries and techniques.
We work on modelling and carving stoneware, colouring clay bodies and a selection of glazes, developing a small series of your own pieces.
In the morning we model; in the afternoon we finish the pieces and apply glazes. After firing, each participant takes their rings home.

A tasting of Japanese tea from the Wazuka region. A journey through the artisanal, organic production of four kinds of tea, each paired with a pastry.
We will talk about the plant and how it is produced in the village, for anyone with no previous knowledge. Then we will taste and talk about the flavours and sensations each tea brings.

A first introduction to botanical pressing, its materials, tools and preservation processes.
We compose with pre-pressed flowers to create a unique botanical piece in a 20 × 20 cm frame.
Each participant takes home their finished botanical piece.

Designing and building ceramic lamps. A workshop to explore the relationship between material, form and light through modelling.
We work with volumes, textures and openings to design and build your own lamp, exploring how light passes through and transforms each piece.
We also learn to adapt the shapes to an electrical system, combining the craft process with the design of a functional object.

Sculpture, geometry and colour in ceramic jewellery.
An intensive workshop to explore the possibilities of Jade porcelain through geometry, colour and the construction of delicate, light and translucent pieces.

A floral design workshop to compose with seasonal flowers and foliage: form, colour, volume and balance.
Each participant makes their own composition and takes it home.

A workshop to make your own metal bands, as a pair. An experience to share as a couple, with friends or family, around a long table at AL MAR.
We learn to measure, cut, solder, shape and polish each ring, to take home a pair of unique handmade pieces.
